My inspirations have always been derived from the outdoors, including Mother Nature and man made objects. I create my paintings/drawings in the impressionistic method and those I have studied under refer to me as a ‘colorist’. I will concede that color excites my senses more than any other type of eye candy.
The artist that influenced me the most is Georgia O’Keefe. Her placement of object and color make me strive for an influence of my own. Also, Milton Avery has taught me that my perspective may not be all that bad off. Light placement by the impressionists gave me a lesson in life outside the studio. Bringing forth an artist that is striving for her own placement in the art of artists.
My basic philosophy is to spread love into this world the best way I know how, which is to produce, teach and give art to all who want it.
